Monday again

Hope everyone had a good weekend. We went to the lake this weekend--the first time in about 5 weeks or more. We didn't have super good weather, except on Sunday which was beautiful. It always is on the day you go home. We still had a good time.

This weekend was the big poker run that starts at the state dock and goes throughout the lake. Mr took the houseboat out for all of us to view the run, since none of us had ever seen one before. We waited for quite a while and then 2 boats came tearing down the lake and that was it. A couple others trickled by and we were all wondering what the heck was going on...what a sucky poker run this was...must be the cost of gas, etc. When we got back to the dock, we found out what had happened. During the first release of boats, one of the boats had flipped over and the driver had been killed. Naturally, they cancelled the run after that. Reports were that he was going about 130 mph when he lost control. The person riding with him survived with seemingly only broken bones. What a tragic accident. This is the second weekend in a row that someone has been killed on the lake. Last weekend a boat hit an island and killed the driver of that boat and the passenger survived. Alcohol was said to be involved in that one and it happened at night.


To change the mood a little--the weather here is awesome today. We got rain over the weekend and it's cooled things off. It's actually starting to feel like fall. Yay!

I've decided to make a YouTube post a weekly feature. I will try to find what I think is a funny YouTube video and post it on here for your viewing pleasure. Since I love YouTube, I will try to keep it to only 1 post a week or this might just turn into a YouTube blog. Let me know if there's any funny videos you've seen that would be good to put on here.
