I'm sure you all remember Daisy's last obsession--the baby birds under the deck. Well, yesterday she's developed another one--squirrels.
Now keep in mind we've been living here for 6 months and all that time there have been squirrels in the yard. Granted, it's fall now and they're more active collecting nuts, but nevertheless, they've been here for 6 months! Yesterday Daisy decided that she just MUST have one.
She's usually really good about staying on the deck when it's not time to go "potty", but yesterday was a different story. If she saw one in the yard, she would tear down the steps and across the yard to catch the ever elusive squirrel. One time she got pretty close to a smaller one. When she's out in the yard, she won't listen to me, either. She's in the squirrel zone, I guess. When I call her to come back up, she completely ignores me. I will try to get it on video because it really is funny.
The blogger issue seems to be just mine. For whatever reason, I can't get the icons to load pictures. Hard telling what I've done. With my new Facebook and MySpace obsessions, I could've loaded something that corrupted my computer. I guess the obsession gene doesn't fall far from the tree, huh?

You should get her a toy squirrel!

I'm not so sure she'd be interested in it if it's not running across the yard!
First of all, you have inherited the obsession gene, so it's only natural to pass it along to the grand dog. But she's probably so disconbobulated (spelling?) from knowing that picture is out on the net that she has to do something to deal with it! Killing a squirrel seems like a good trade off.
